GREAT Little TV...40+ Channels = Read Instructions during set-up for BEST Results!!!

The bad news...
I was happy to get this cute little TV and when I first received it, I charged it and then tried to get the channels in and only got a couple of Channels....a little disappointed.

The GOOD NEWS... However, I always say, when all else fails "READ THE INSTRUCTIONS". Well needless to say, that is EXACTLY what was needed to be done, plus I needed to put on the other supplied antenna on the TV and rescanned for TV stations. I couldn't believe it, as I got 40+ stations...not all in English though. I got most of the standard stations, the picture is beautiful & crisp and the sound is good for price & size of this cute little TV. I wanted this TV mainly for travel plus camping trips. I have not had a chance to use it for travel yet, but am hopeful that it will work fairly well. I had read somewhere that it had removable batteries and that seems to be incorrect. I was hoping to use removable batteries so I could use rechargeable batteries in the TV while traveling.

Summary....The most important thing about using this TV is to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS and use the other supplied antenna as that is all I needed to do in order to get 40+ channels with excellent picture/sound. It does suggest to scan more than once to get more channels. Also, I found it works better in certain parts of my house....but I have the same with my cordless phones. I could not expect this little TV to do much better and I am pleased with my purchase.

Give this Great Little TV a chance & READ the instructions to make sure you are setting it up properly....you may be pleasantly surprised like I was. :)

The Eviant T7-02 7 Inch Portable LCD TV was the perfect gift for my wife who like to watch certain programs at work and just before the big switch to digital programing her other tv stopped working. So all she wanted for anniversary was another tv for work, nothing extravagant just something to replace it. This Eviant really amazed her and exceeded her expectations in many ways plus it came in her favorite color red. Thanks Amazon.comEviant T7-02 7-Inch Portable LCD TV, Red

The Eviant 7" portable tv I just received is great. I went to Antennaweb to see how many channels I could pick up and they said 1. Very dissappointed until in the end of the scan I could get at least 10. I'm outside on my deck when scanning. It gives me the several channels I wanted it for so I'm very happy. The picture is clear as can be and the sound is definetly adequate. For those who say it's a piece of junk, maybe they expected more, maybe thier area can't give them the channels they wanted but for me, it is everything I wanted. Portable to take everywhere and mostly to sit outside during my offtime in the summer to watch programs. I did try the Haier model with little luck at all and the picture was not even close to Eviant. I'm very happy about my purchase.
Nice little TV, but.....

I bought this TV for my boyfriend for his birthday and he could only get one station at his house in Miami, after many attempts to find a place in his house where he could receive the other stations. I bought it so we would have it if we have a hurricane and no electricity. I live 10 miles from him and could get the 4 major broadcast stations and a few other stations, although it works better in some rooms than others. He gave it back to me so now I use it. It has a great picture and pretty good sound on it and it will be nice to have on the occasions when my cable goes out. But I'm disappointed that he could not use it because it's not like he lives in the backwoods. Perhaps future technology will improve so there will be better reception in future versions of this TV.
This one is is a Keeper

After trying several 7 inch portable TVs from other manufactures and having to return them to the store because they were unsatisfactory, the Eviant T7-02-7-inch was a keeper. We are extrememly happy with its performance. The only slight set back is the quality of the sound but in comparison with the other set we tried ,it is a winner.
