The preference of users to make immense use of touch screens is somehow on the increase. However many a times it means giving up either quality or other features that they might get to have instead of the simple touch screen technology. For this reason even the manufacturers of many electronic gadgets are appealed to make more appliances that increase the possibility of the “touch” phenomenon.

Initiated by most banks and kiosks that you might have seen or at airports and museums where people seeking information have made it possible to see this technology as a staple good. The Apple Company has much to do in appraising this technology through its infamous iphones and other companies such as Palm Inc. Not only limited to phones and computer desktops, other products such as calculators, watches MP3 players etc let users control functions by tapping, sliding or dragging a finger.

The desire for more touch screen products is not personal. Rather it could be traced back by human nature itself. They are seen as more trendy; they are well designed, are “cool” and have no buttons. Plus they appear to make a fashion statement for many. Some features are losing in the touch screen gadget. But the technology seems beautiful.

Secondly, touch screen technology adds to the more intuitive way of using your five senses. It make a more of a direct contact with the machine at it’s own. The driving force to use such a gadget is directly associated with our thinking process as just touching spots might do the thing that you would require to be done using pressing of hard rubber buttons. A human is naturally very pleased if his actions are making just the response that he would want.

Thirdly, the touch screen gadgets are more satisfying. If they were not, there won’t be any trend the people own the things and come to get another one.

More reasons why this happen could include that people are more fashion oriented these days, they do not care for what they have but more on what new models of a phone could they get every other month even if their own phones are not more than a month old. However touch screen is not to be criticized for its admiration. It is only a matter of a little time that the features that we had given up in place for them become available along touch screens too (thanks to those engineers for it). It is rapidly developing with the pace in technology.

Many people still are prolonged to use such devices however they do not possess them yet. It is estimated that global touch screen appliances would contribute to a revenue of around $6.4 billion by 2013. The only device that might remain unaffected could perhaps be television. For many couch warmers, a remote control is all the technology they want. But, perhaps we can be happy if we can change the channel without a click. Just a sigh and the television will change its channel to Rihanna Concert show.
